Maria C. Niebuhr
Head of School
Maria Niebuhr brings 23 years of progressive experience in K-8 education to Crestwell School. A visionary leader known for driving strategic growth and fostering mission-driven cultures, she combines strong business acumen from her former career as a banking executive with a deep commitment to student-centered education.
Prior to joining Crestwell, Maria served as Principal at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School in Naples. Her expertise spans curriculum design, literacy intervention, technology integration, and community engagement.
Maria holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education and a B.B.A. in Marketing from Hofstra University. She is a Florida Certified Professional Educator (K-6) and School Administrator, and is passionate about creating environments where every child can thrive.

MaryBeth Taylor
Principal
MaryBeth Taylor joined Crestwell School in 2012 after earning her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Florida and studying in a Master's Program in Education. She served as Middle School English and Literature Instructor and Department Head before becoming Assistant Principal in 2021 and Principal in 2023.
Jennifer Neale
Director of Admissions and Events
Jennifer graduated from John Carroll University with a B.S. in Marketing and International Business. After an 18-year career in fashion merchandising, she transitioned into education to support admissions and events initiatives. Her experience leading international teams and driving high-level fundraising aligns with Crestwell's values and mission.
Laura Yeo
Director of Early Childhood Education
Laura Yeo has championed early childhood and elementary education throughout her career, focusing on creating nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environments. She holds a B.A. in English and Child Development and is certified in K-6 Education, Reading, ESE, and ESOL, with a VPK endorsement.
Peyton Flanders, MBA
Director of School Operations
Peyton Flanders is the Chief Operations Officer at Clear Direction Education. At Crestwell School, Peyton works closely with the school's leaders to develop operational strategy and processes that align with the school's mission. She holds an Executive MBA from Rollins College and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from UCF.
Rowena Ramos, M.Ed
President, Clear Direction Education
Rowena Ramos serves as Vice President of Accreditation for the Association of Independent Schools of Florida. With over 35 years in private education, she is a recognized expert in private school administration and accreditation standards. She holds a Master of Education and specialized certifications in remediation and student success programs.
Spencer Kraus
Business Operations Manager
Spencer is the Business Operations Manager at Crestwell School, where he oversees all customer financial accounts, manages accounts payable and receivable, and supports the day-to-day operations of the school. With a strong eye for detail and organization, Spencer plays a key role in keeping Crestwell's operations running smoothly.

Tori Telfer
Chairman of the Board
Tori Telfer has over 18 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families as a Licensed Psychologist and Clinical Director of mental health programs for children and families. She holds a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from UCF and a PhD in Counseling from Barry University.
Lonie Patterson
Board Member
Lonie Patterson has spent the last twenty years working in private education, specializing in instructional technology, student activities, and fundraising. She has a passion for student activities and community fundraising, and has been responsible for planning and organizing large-scale school events.
Dr. Charaline Luna
Board Member
Dr. Charaline Luna is a third-generation private school administrator with nearly 50 years of experience. She served as President of the Association of Independent Schools of Florida (AISF) and Vice President and Director of Accreditation. She holds a PhD in Education and degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Early Childhood.
